Adios Amigos

I've tried to liven this forum up recently and hoped people would start posting things on here but it didn't work. I wasted my time!

I loved the glory days on here when there was loads of music discussions going on, people posting links etc.. and even our beloved Mani joining in but sadly those days are gone....

...this forum is as dead as a dodo!!!

...sadly I also think my love-affair with Primal Scream is over too!

So I'm jumping ship!!!! I've found a new (forum) home!!!!!

ADIOS AMIGOS!!!

Take care all!

Sadly, facebook has killed band forums.

The only really active forum i know of is the spiritualized one, though that's slowed down as well. Teenage fanclub one used to be very active too, haven't checked in a long long time though

I created a facebook scream group and it's a little more active than here

I don't know whats going on really. The scream have been active as hell this year. You'd think there'd be a lot to talk about!

I've slagged on the site due to personal things going on this past year, but i?m hoping to get back at soon with finishing the new site i started last year in time for the 20th anniversary of webadelica.

What forum did you find?

I've joined The Archdrude's one (Julian Cope's) as it's great for Copey's music finds/reviews and the forum looks quite busy too (I've already been on there discussing CHAOSMOSIS, Julian Cope's back catalogue since AUTOGEDDON, Brix & The Extricated (oh dear!) and other stuff so I'm happier to have more contact and music discussion.

I read a quote recently by Bobby saying he thinks Cope is the best music writer in the world right now and I tend to agree.

Yes it's sad about this site and even the lack of interest in the facebook page but what can we do???

Thanks again Jeff for your work on here and we will stay in touch on facebook.

Oh wow! I didn't realize he said that. where did he say that? I'm a massive copey fan. I visit that forum occasionally. Would check it more often if it were phone friendly

It's in the review section on Amazon for Julian Cope's music book 'Copendium'...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Copendium-Julian-Cope-x/dp/0571270344

I think Julian is the best writer on rock and roll in the world today. No contest. Lester Bangs would love him if he were still alive. They'd be blood brothers. He's got the spirit alright. True faith. (Bobby Gillespie)

Part of the above quote features on the spine of the actual book too...
